Women's Soccer Blog (Erica #6)

Two games left in the regular season and we are sitting in a pretty good spot right now.

We've secured our spot in the CCAA's and with a chance to defend our title from last year. This past week we played against Dominguez Hills twice and beat them twice. We were really amped to play Dominguez for many reasons, including the fact that they knocked us out of the NCAA tournament last year and we were looking to show them it wouldn't be so this year.

On Wednesday, we came out on fire, scoring 2 goals in the first 5 minutes. Before the end of the match we added on 2 more and they scored off a questionable hand ball in the box PK rebound.

On Saturday, they got the first goal and we entered half time down. But we got ourselves regrouped and refocused and came back to score two and win. And we did all that will two our our forwards down and out with injuries.

But our work isn't over, this weekend will be a tough one as always against Pomona and San Bernardino. We'll be looking to even things up with Pomona on Sunday and to sweep San Bernardino for the season on Friday. Two wins this weekend means a lot for the CCAA's and the NCAA tournament seeding and for bragging rights as well :D

Sunday is our final home game and we will be having a ceremony prior to kickoff to honor our 8 seniors. Hope to see you all at the games this weekend!
